Position available: Flower farm worker, involved with all aspects of cut flower operation.
Position description:
We're looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic person to join our farm, working from mid-April through most of December, and potentially reduced hours overwinter.
Work schedule is four days a week, around 32 hours a week. Must be able to work at least a half day Monday mornings.
This is a diverse job that includes a range of skills, working in all aspects of the cut flower operation. Tasks include harvesting flowers, planting, weeding, washing buckets, prepping beds, setting up irrigation, weed whacking, wreath making, and more. Harvesting often takes 3 mornings a week during the growing season.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience at a working family farm that is using organic and holistic practices to grow crops and animals.

Pay is based on experience
Staff receives a 20% discount on meat and flowers, as well as free second-quality flowers.
Requirements:
-Be motivated, efficient, and content to work alone and with others
-Experience is a definite plus, but not necessary. What is necessary is a strong interest in our farm's operation, and the ability to learn quickly, be open minded, and to hustle to complete tasks.
-Be physically fit, able to lift 50 lbs, and work in all weather conditions.
-Must provide one's own boots, gloves, clothing, and sunscreen
-Must have a valid driver's license
-Not smoke or chew tobacco on farm premise
