Our beef animals are Jersey steer that we raise from birth. Bull calves are often treated as a waste product on dairies, and we're grateful to have an organic dairy as a source for them. Our steer are primarily raised on forage. For the first year of life they also receive grain (organically grown on our farm) as a supplement. They're raised as all naturally as possible, antibiotic and hormone free.
Pricing for quarters/halves/wholes:
$4.50/lb hanging weight plus processing
An example from an average sized finished steer is $5.75/lb hanging weight including the processing, and with an average yield it'd be $9.50/lb finished cuts including processing fees.
